Policies

The regulatory framework this whole module is built against, the access policies that justify visibility into an organisation's data, and the grants that put a policy into effect.

Audience: state vets, Authority users, org admins Part of the Authority guide set

What this guide covers: the three Policies tabs. See Access policies & grants in the Authority Command Centre overview for the underlying access-basis and allowed-action vocabulary.

Framework

National Framework

Found at Authority → Policies. This tab is reference material — the regulatory schemes and directives (FMD directives, gazette references) the whole module is built against. It isn't editable from here.

Access Policies

Access Policies

Create a new access policy or click the pencil icon on an existing one to edit it — access basis, allowed actions and evidence-access level, exactly as described in Part 4 of the Command Centre overview.

There's no deactivate or delete action here. Once created, a policy can only be edited in place or superseded by a new one — plan your access policies knowing you can't simply retire one later.
Authority Grants

Authority Grants

Create a grant by picking an organisation, an Authority user, and a policy, with an optional reason and expiry — access basis here is always owner-granted. Revoke opens a reason dialog, pre-filled with "Revoked by organisation administrator." Org admins reach this same tab from their own "Authority Grants" menu item, scoped to their own organisation only.
